Stacked Stone Shower
Stacked Stone Shower

Zig Zagged shaped glass panels are pressure fit into opening making for a dramatic shower design. Edges of glass panels were mitered for a perfect fit on the corners. Three hinges were used here but are not usually necessary in most situations.

Steam Shower
Steam Shower

Totally enclosed showers using poly-carbonite seals will effectively seal in steam from steam generators. A useful feature of hinges used on most frameless shower doors is the ability to remain in a hold-open position for the shower to ventilate during the day.

Glass to Glass Hinge

Used to avoid header. Door can be supported by a thicker piece of glass, 1/2" thick, that is secured into the wall using clamps.

Alumax Shower
Alumax Shower

This studio picture from Alumax is a great example of the use of a towel bar and handle combination. Other styles are also available. We are an Alumax dealer for framed and sliding semi-frameless shower doors.

Frameless Kneewall
Frameless Kneewall - Chrome on White

This is a typical shower sharing a tub deck. Not a good idea to have wood floors in wet areas. Floor damage from toilets, showers, and baths can be a real issue. Frameless showers are not considered water tight nor are framed shower enclosures for that matter.

Neo-Angle Shower
Neo-Angle Shower

This beautiful bathroom has a large shower enclosure and incorporates use of a header to support the glass panels. Door mounted in wall. Most headers allow for a pivot hinge mounted for flexible design options. See other Neo-angle picures.

Neo-Angle Shower w/ Glass Transom
Neo-Angle Shower w/ Glass Transom

Instead of using a header system to create the structure, this enclosure is constructed using a glass transom which essentially means the glass panels create the structure. Using 2”x2” metal clamps to securely fasten the glass panels to the wall along with clamps to bridge the transom to the adjacent glass panels will support the door especially since much of the door’s weight is on the bottom.

Shower Sharing Tub Deck
Shower Sharing Tub Deck

Beautiful combination of oil rubbed bronze hardware with travertine stone tiles. Very typical shower setup; door is mounted into wall like most enclosures of this situation. Typical door weighs 75 pounds so construction of shower should include wood where the door is to be mounted. Refer to Preparation Tips page for other important information.

Neo-Angle CLR Deluxe
Neo-Angle with CR Laurence Deluxe Header System

This was my first in 1994 (hence the polished brass)! Header is used to create the structure of the complete system. This allows the door to be located anywhere and be can be hinged on either side, the left or on the right. See other example of oil rubbed bronze neo-angle shower below without a header system.

Giant Steam Shower
Giant Steam Shower

Hard to see but this enclosure has French doors that are supported by flanking glass panels. Each door is hinged off adjacent glass panels using glass to glass hinges. Panels are physically fastened into walls using 2”x2” metal glass clamps.

Oil-Rubbed Bronze
Oil-Rubbed Bronze Knee-Wall

This is a great example of updating the bathroom and shower by removing the old enclosure and replacing with a new frameless shower enclosure. Chrome and brushed nickel finishes look great with white tiles. Make sure your old shower structure is worthy of the investment of a new enclosure.
